Daddy's Girls - Ft Gordon Georgia OpLove Photographer

When a photographer friend encouraged me to check out Operation: Love ReUnited, it turned out to be a truly wonderful fit. My husband and I met while we were in the military, so we naturally strongly support our service members and their families who sacrifice so much to keep our great country safe. Therefore, I am pleased to announce that Scribbletime Photography is proud to be an OpLove volunteer!

Operation: Love ReUnited is an organization dedicated to serving military families who are facing deployment. Through OpLove, military members who are either deploying, already deployed or returning from deployment are eligible to receive a free photography session to document this time in their lives. Scribbletime serves deploying military members based at Fort Gordon in the Augusta, Georgia area. If you are a photographer interested in volunteering with OpLove, just visit their website to begin the process. And if you happen to serve a base that is located in Georgia, please remember to join the "Georgia Photographers" group that I have created on the OpLove website.

And so....my first OpLove session was with these two darling little girls whose daddy was recently deployed. I would just love to be able to see the smile on his face when he opens his 4x6 photo album to see his precious sweethearts ready celebrate the 4th of July...

A funny thing happened mid-way through our session at the park...wouldn't ya know it...the sprinklers came on!! And guess who ran away from my camera to go play in the water in her cute 4th of July dress?

We still weren't done with all our shots, so their very kind mommy agreed to "Part 2" of the OpLove session. This time their daddy was able to be part of the session! The girls brought along their "daddy doll". What a great idea for including him! Doesn't it just warm your heart to see his little girl giving her daddy doll a sweet little kiss? My eyes fill with tears each time I look at this picture...

And to their courageous daddy...I know you'll enjoy your 4x6 album of your little cutie pies and I wish you a safe and timely return so you can hurry up and see their sweet faces in person. Thank you so much for your service!
